Palette generator: press the space bar for new color schemes, lock the colors you like, and export or check contrast.
Coolors generates color palettes five swatches at a time. You press the space bar to shuffle, lock the colors you want to keep, and adjust any swatch by shade, temperature or exact value. It can also pull a palette from a photo, show how colors look to people with color vision deficiencies, and check contrast between pairs.
It is a quick way to explore directions before a brand palette is set. Once you have a shortlist, test it on real layouts: a website mockup, a business card and a sign. Then write down every value your brand needs, such as hex and RGB for screens and CMYK or a Pantone reference for print, because a palette that only exists as five swatches is hard for others to apply.
