The USPTO trademark search is the official database of trademarks registered and applied for in the United States. You can search by word or phrase, by owner, by the goods and services a mark covers, and by design codes, which describe shapes and figures in logos. Each record shows the status of the mark, the owner and the classes it covers.

Run it on every finalist name and on the main elements of your logo before you print or register anything. A search shows what is already on record; it does not tell you whether your mark would conflict, which depends on how similar the marks are and what they are used for.
